Goes to sleep after returning from sleep
I have Vista Business Edition on an IBM ThinkPad (X-series). No special
software besides the usual: MS Office 2007 (incl OneNote), Firefox, WinAmp, Acrobat Reader. Plus the IBM ThinkVantage options for Tablet PC, Fingerprint Reader, Tablet Menu Shortuct. Vista is updated as of yesterday (Apr 3, 2007) with all Windows Update patches. This problem, however, has been going on for the past month. Whenever I return from Sleep (either by lifting the lid, or pressing the power button), it prompts me to unlock via username/password or fingerprint. After the first restore-from-Sleep, it automatically goes back to Sleep. I must re-press the power button and re-enter my username/password or fingerprint a "second" time. ONLY THEN does it return successfully from Sleep. Also, in the mix of this situation, my network connection options may or may not work -- without unplugging the network cable, or without changing the wireless configuration. YES, this problems also occurs when Wireless is DISABLED! Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
