I have just installed ADSL BT Broadband internet onto a new PC running
windows Vista. The same connection works perfectly on my old XP machine. However, with Vista some webpages, such as bbc.co.uk load instantly, yet others take a long time to load - these load quickly on the old machine. Is there any way to fix this problem? Clicking the diagnose and repair box shows that Vista recognises there is a connection problem but is not able to fix it automatically. Many thanks |

I have exactly the same problem. I thought it was my new Dell having
problems, I am ready to send it back to Dell. have not found a solution, yet. "alan3985" wrote: I have just installed ADSL BT Broadband internet onto a new PC running windows Vista. i have since found the answer on another forum, its the phishing feature of
the McAffee anti-virus scanner which is installed. If you turn it off the internet should work perfectly - it did for me! Hope this helps you!
