Vista cannot continue windows 98 network printer

Default Vista cannot continue windows 98 network printer

I got 2 computer,1 is runnig windows vista and another is windows 98 second
edition.My printer is connected to windows 98 computer so my vista computer
wan use the printer so i share my printer from win98.Problem come out. It
show 1 error msg.(windows cannto connect to the printer.operation could not
be completed(error0x00000866)).Is it because both of these windows version
problem? Windows XP no problem at all. So need some asistances from u guys
..thanks

Default Vista cannot continue windows 98 network printer

Without knowing what type of printer you are using, you may have to locate,
download, and install the appropriate Vista compatible printer driver--the
98/xp driver located on the 9x machine will probably not install--, then
change the *port* to point to your networked printer host machine such as:
\\win98computername\sharedprintername

This is assuming that all necessary sharing, etc is established on your
network.

Ummm.....doesnt help much..But anyway thanks for replying me max.So still
need more information about my problem..Pls reply me anyone ..

I am having the exact same problem. Same error message. Any help?
