Hi,
I successfully set up my router with my old PC (using Windows XP). I've tried setting up on my new computer (Windows Vista) and get an error related to my firewall. I have Norton which I disabled, but no dice. I spent half an hour on the phone with D Link to no avail. They think it's my modem, but I'm connected just fine with that! It's a D Link WBR-2310. Any advice? Thanks much, sammyfan68 |

Try uninstalling Norton's Firewall as many people have reported that
just disabling it does not solve this issue. I believe there is some setting in Norton that explicitly will allow a subnet to have access, but you'd have to check with Norton's tech support. Honestly, I think that since the WBR 2310 has a firewall that if you use Windows Firewall only that you don't need the Norton firewall.
