Hi!
I bought a Sony Vaio notebook with Windows Vista preinstalled. I interrupted upgrading when I realized it takes several hours because I had no time. Next day I tried to do the upgrade/activation and I got the message that my product key is invalid. (perhaps because I interrupted the activation??) I called the phone number provided by the wizzard and I talked someone from Microsoft I guess. There were seven empty boxes and he gave me 7 six-digit number to fill in the boxes. Everything seems to be OK now my Windows is activated at least. I am still worried because this invalid product key.. Should I worry about it?? Do I need it later for upgrades or anything in the future? -- Thank you! |

It is not an invalid key anymore. Once you activate you are good. The reason
it gave an invalid key is because it was already activated and is "in use". Once you called MS and did the phone activation, it cleared everything up. -- Dustin Harper http://www.vistarip.com -- "Laszlo Nagy" wrote in message news ![]() Hi!
