I am unable to rename a new file or folder on a network share with
Windows Vista Business Edition. When I try, it pulls up a "Copy Folder" dialog box. This is what the box says: The Z:\Docs folder does not exist. The file may have been moved or deleted. Do you want to create it? The Z:\Docs folder is the folder that contains the object that I'm trying to rename. If I say yes, it just pops up again. So I have to say no. I can create a new folder, and I can move them around. These are New HP Pavillion PCs with this Vista image. I installed all the newest drivers. It is the member of the domain. |

I've seen references to this problem but no work around as of this time.
See http://forums.microsoft.com/technet/...&tf=0&pageid=2 For more information. J "RJ" wrote in message ... I have managed to work out what is causing this issue. To resolve it you
simply need to open Offline files in Control Panel and disable it. This works for the Business edition of VISTA.
