Default Synchronisation across a network

I am running Vista HE Premium. I want to synchronise the contents of
"D:\music files" on the Vista computer with M:\Music files which is shared
on a network computer running XP Home Edition.

Is this possible. The sync centre does not recognise devices connected
across a network.

I am aware that you can share and access files offline but I think that this
is only available in the Vista Ultimate Edition.

Any ideas?

Steve.

Not quite.... What you're actually asking for is PC-to-PC Sync, a very cool
feature that was unfortunately cut around the time of Beta 1. :-/

What's still in is the second possibility you mentioned.... Share the
folder from the desktop, access it from the laptop, and mark it as "Always
Available Offline." However, you're right -- this is only in the Business,
Enterprise, and Ultimate editions.

Your best bet, actually, is a an application like FolderShare
(foldershare.com) -- a neat tool for keeping files in sync and sharing
across multiple machines.
