I have narrowed down my issues with my vista workstations and networking into a 2000 domain. It is defenitely group policy related. The machine runs fine in a workgroup but as soon as I join to a windows domain everything breaks. I have created the central store as recomended in my sysvol folder and copied up the administrative templates for vista(KB929841). I created an OU and put the vista machines in it and applied the policy to it. Something is getting pushed down from my 2k policy that is causing a bunch of services to stop ( Firewall, DHCP, ETC. ETC.) I get a message that the dependcy group failed to start after the 2nd reboot without fail and when I try to start the services I get access denied error message. I have expended massive amounts of time on this issue and I getting ready to open a case with microsoft. No one has an answer for this and it seems like a bunch of people are having this issue with no answers. -- mikemcse ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mikemcse's Profile: http://www.vista64.net/forums/member.php?userid=2316 View this thread: http://www.vista64.net/forums/showthread.php?t=55493 |
