I recently installed windows vista home premium 32 bit on my home pc. I
connected my hp printer and it automatically downloaded the necessary drivers. The printing function works correctly but I cannot scan any documents. The hp solution centre that usually directs me when I scan is also no longer availible on my pc. I tried reinstalling the software using the disc that came with the printer but it informs me that there are compatibility issues with my operating system and aborts the installation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Tom:
Until HP decides to update the software/ software package the scanning capabilities has been relegated to windows photo gallery (vista). Open the windows photo gallery and go to "file" and click the second item down "capture from camera or scanner". I know this is a crappy way of doing it when it is easier to use HP built in capabilities in their software. You also need to understand that these big companies will be looking long and hard at all their products and will make decision if it is worth expending time and energy for products even as new as a year ago or put that money, time and energy into new products and development... they are in it for the money like every other company in the world Greg "Tom" wrote: I recently installed windows vista home premium 32 bit on my home pc. HP now appears to have full feature drivers for your printer at its website Be sure to following the installation instructions at their site: http://tinyurl.com/2myogj -- Michael Solomon |

AMOI Any idea of the significance of the filename:
AIO_CDB_Full_Non-Network_enu.exe Is it meant to be a network printer but will only work if direct connected? |
