Hi barry,
I also incountered this, I found if right clicked on the folder and selected share, it didn't stick and share. This is what I did: Right click the folder, then select properties. Select the sharing tab, then select the advanced sharing. Then put a tick in the share this folder box, and apply. It then shared that folder. "Barry" wrote: Hi, I am just setting up VISTA Ultimate. Thanks, I have the problem half solved! I cannot share any folders on C:
created by the system (e.g. program files), however I can share subfolders of these folders using the method described below. Don't you just love simplicity and consistency!! Anyone know how to share a folder created by the system ? Barry "LindaAnn" wrote in message ... I have the same problem, but that doesn't work for me.
I get the message "An error occurred while trying to share [foldername]. Access is denied. The shared resource was not created at this time." Why is Vista so stupid and complicated? I didn't change anything and now it is locking me out of my own folders. "LindaAnn" wrote in message ...
