MN-700 v WRT54GS
Not sure if I am missing something here but with my MN-700 I was able to
"TRULY" forward ports. I could forward port 3389 to port XXXX. This way when I did a Remote Desktop to my home machine the IP would look something like this: 24.44.157.67:XXXX - NOT 3389. I really miss that feature and I can't seem to find a way to make that happen with my new Linksys. I tried the Port Trigger menu but no luck there, am I not seeing something? Thank Randy D |

Thank Randy D Your talking about port redirection. I think your right though in that port redirection does not seem to be available for your router. I suggest posting to the http://www.linksysinfo.org forums for expert help... http://www.linksysinfo.org/forums/fo...play.php?f=123 By the way you have it a bit backward. You would redirect TCP Port XXXX to TCP Port 3389 through the router. The addressing would then be 12.34.56.78:XXXX from a remote location. -- Al Jarvi (MS-MVP Windows Networking) Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us...
