my cd/dvd drive is messed up

Default my cd/dvd drive is messed up


it won't play cd's or dvds. i checked the device manager and it said
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver
may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" what do i have to do?
i have a hp pavilion entertainment pc laptop if that helps

Patience. You posted this second message after waiting only 13 minutes?
This is a peer to peer support newsgroup. It can take 24-48 hrs for someone
