Okay, I've got a rather unique one. I mananged to get my network running smoothly (running Vista Ultimate on my main system, which shares the network with three XP Business systems), and yesterday, suddenly Vista decides that the network connection is no longer there, thus negating my internet, print/file sharing and streaming capabilities. The odd part about it is that strangely, at the same time the network center still sees the connection, but to actually use it, it's asking me to dial into PPPoE, something that not only have I never had to do before, I shouldn't need to "dial into" a broadband connection in the first place. If there's anyone who can shed some light on this, I'd be appreciative. -- Sanskrit |

I have the same problem using vista and wireless. In the middle of a session
IE will no longer respond. The connection still exists but for some reason it is no longer recognizing my laptop. I have to shut down and relog in to get the connection again. The strange thing is I notice IE just before the log out takes place and it appears to be behind the desktop. However, when I check before logging out nothing is behind the desktop. Actually, I was able to fix it. The problem was a glitch that had nothing to do with my IPCONFIG, but rather my third-party firewall and my network vendor. Got the patch, problem solved. -- Sanskrit |
