Default SHared Printer On 2000 & vista cant use It

I have a all in one 3030 printer. It is in the office on our local net
work the PC it is plugged into is a windows 2000 PC. Now i cant print
on it. I'm running Vitsa x64. I go onto the network find the printer
and right click on it and go connect. It asks for an unknown INF file.
I really need to get this working. I have downloaded the latest drivers
for this and i cant get it to work.

When the "print server" computer is 32 bit and the "client" is 64 bit, you
have to get the 64 bit version of the driver installed on the client.

There are a few ways to do this:

1. install it as an "Additional driver" on the "print server" - see
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/AddDrivertoOldOS.htm (instructions are for
XP, but the Vista process is essentially the same); then connect to the
network printer

2. if the 64 bit printer driver is "in-box" (delivered with Vista), when you
connect to the network printer, the 64 bit driver "should" be installed on
the client automatically

3. use the workaround described at
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/NetPrinterNoPP.htm

If you still have problems, please reply with the printer make and model
("3030", but which manufacturer and model type).

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
