I have a DLink Router DI604 (wired). How do I share the internet connection
between Vista and WIN ME?

I tried connecting both to the router, only the vista connection works but
not the ME.

Please advise.

Contact your ISP.. they will talk you through the settings required to
connect ME to their server..

Run winipcfg, the router should be telling ME what the IP address is for the
Network Adapter.
If not, [RENEW] and try to get an IP address from the router. 192.168.x.xx
where x is either 1 or 0 or some number, and xx is a double digit number.
If that doesn't work, email mike888 ... he knows better than asking the IP
what to do... he is just being lazy.

I'm sorry you're experiencing issues. If you're still experiencing issues
accessing a shared folder from Vista to W98, 95, ME), then it may be a
mismatch with the version of NTLM. By default, Windows Vista uses NTLM 2.

• Enable NTLM 2 support on the computer or device to which the Windows
Vista-based computer is attempting to connect. For computers running versions

system's product documentation for information about how to enable NTLM 2
support. For network devices, see the device's product documentation or Web
