Hi there,
I use windows Vista Home Premium. I have an Windows 2003 Server. When i connect to the server i am asked to enter user name and password. I do this and I also click remember passwords. Once i reboot and then try and re connect to my server i have to enter the user name and password again. Could some one please help me on this ? Thanks, |

Hi Cornflakes. As a security measure, the domain administrator may have used
Group Policy to set it so that you can't save your user name and password. If you're the domain admin and you haven't done this, then I'm not sure what would cause it. Thanks, Gloria -- Gloria Boyer Windows User Assistance team Microsoft Corporation |

I have the same issue. In my case I am connecting from a Windows Vista
workstation to a Windows XP workstation (not on a domain). I use Windows Home Premium as well. I am not using "simple file sharing", I have tried adding the same username/password ont eh Windows XP computer as I have on the Vista workstation, and get the exact same thing. Everytime I connect to a share on the XP computer, Vista asks me for a password... even though I have already entered it and checked the "remember password" box. |
