Hi,
I am dutch so my englishe is not very good.

Since i have Windows Vista my pc stops after 30 minutes. (sometimes shorter
and sometimes any longer.)
When i am surfing 30 minutes on internet my mouse don't move anymore and i
can't do anything, so i must put my computer off.
And when i'm playing a game i have this problem after 10 or 15 minutes.
And when i'm not on my computer but he's only downloading he's do it for a
couple of hours.
It's very weird but it's true.
When i had Windows XP i never had this problem.
Please! Can someone help me?
Cause i love Windows Vista and i never wan't XP anymore!!

Hi Jeffrey,

Open the event viewer and check the system and application logs for clues.
Does the system freeze? Or just shut down? Is there an error message?

Blow the dust bunnies off of your cpu heatsink and power supply. Your
machine is probably overheating. If its clean inside, run the task manager
and check to see if svchost.exe is eating up your cpu cycles.

I opened task manager on my system and found 7 instances of svchost.exe
running at the same time. Why? and how do I stop that from happening?

Check that. I just opened it again and found 16 instances of svchost.exe
running.

Hmmm Ive never seen that many instances. Anyways what u are looking for is
one in particular that is using up 90-100% of your cpu. Kill that process if
possible or just go to start/control panel/system and click on the automatic
updates tab and turn off automatic updates. There is a bug or "feature" in
auto updates that is causing cpu's to max and computers to slow to a
unbareable crawl.Let me know if this works for you please.

Why do you want to stop them? That's normal to have multiple instances
running On this system there are 12 instances running. Each instance is a
container for other services. From Task Manager on the process tab near the
bottom left put a check mark in "Show processes for all users". Highlight
an instance of svchost.exe, right click and click on "Go to services". It
will switch tabs and highlight all the services that are running under that
instance of svchost.exe. Check them out to see what is there. They should
all just be windows services.

Unfortunately, no one can help you because we don't know what "instance of
these" means. See below for why and how to better get help from these
newsgroups.

You are not posting on a real forum as you think you are and you didn't
