Default IPOD songs showing in Vista?

Can u get Vista to see what songs are on your ipod so you can delete some
songs?

My Itunes library is NOT auto syncced as I have half of it on C drive and
half on D drive of my computer so I manually manage the itunes library.

But right now I'd simply like to plug my ipod in, see Drive G which is what
it is, AND SEE and delete songs, but whereas videos and photos show up in
Vista Home Premium, NO SONGS are visible.

Using an IPOD 30gb with op sys v 1.2 (current) ant Itune 7.0.1.8 (not
current - but a 30bg download is NOT for me!)

Rgds n tks for any help

Rod

As I said, Debra (and TKS for reply!) my itunes library is spread over 2
HDDs and I manually manage....or I DID until I had to rebuild my PC with
Vista and upgraded from Itunes 6 to ITunes 7.

So now when I plug in my IPOD, I see NO music in it at all thru I-Tunes,
though there obviously IS...and all songs are visible and play fine on my
IPOD when its not connected to my PC...but when connected...NADA!

Help!!!

I have never done it that way, looking for a Drive G. Can you not delete
them the usual way through iTunes, when you hook up the iPod?

Just downloaded the version on the website. The button says 7.1.1, the
downloaded file is 7.1.1.5
