Default Yet more vista/xp network problems.

Somebody please help. Three computers in my wireless network, two xp
home and one vista prem. The two xp machines can see into the vista
machine and the vista machine can see, map and see shared files on the
xp machines, but as soon as I try and access the shared files all I get
is:
"\\computer name\shareddocs\file name" is not accessible. You might
not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you access permissions.
The specified network name is no longer available.

Both the xp machines have LLTD installed.

Just found out that if I connect a xp machine to my router by cable
then vista can access all shared files, as soon as i go wireless it
can't.

Please help

First find the IP by using ipconfig command in the remote computer B. Then use this command: net view \\192.168.1.2 from other computer A (here the 192.168.1.2 is the remote computer B IP address.

If you using net view \\ipaddress and receive system error 51, this could be the firewall. For a test, disable all firewall and security software. Can you ping each other?

Andy - I had the same problem. I went to the properties advance security and
set it for "everyone" had all access then it worked. It seems to be a new
change you need to do with Vista networks.
