Hi Chuck,
Thank you for your info. I went through the whole process, still have problem. My XP and windowMe work fine, but only the Vista has the problem. I chang my network setting according to your suggestion, no luck. Is the group name case senstive? In my WindowMe always show me Mshome, but in vista always upcase MSHOME no matter how I change the case. Thanks again. OK, well Windows Networking is pretty simple when it works right off the bat (and it does for a few folks here), but they don't ever get to appreciate the intricacies involved. You will, because you have to fix the problems. First, some light reading. My XP / Vista article is a brief version of my troubleshooting articles. http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/10/irregularities-in-workgroup-visibility.html http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/1...isibility.html http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/troubleshooting-network-neighborhood.html http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...ghborhood.html And learn layered troubleshooting in general. http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/08/solving-network-problems-tutorial.html http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...-tutorial.html Next, look at "browstat status" (XP and Vista only), and "ipconfig /all" (each computer), and diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!): http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/troubleshooting-network-neighborhood.html#AskingForHelp http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...#AskingForHelp -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
