I am having exactly Dennis problem! Any help will be immensely appreciated.
I would also like to know why Networking and Sharing does not let me "see" the Hard Drives I have in my other computers. For example, the Family computer has a 250GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive but when I open Windows Explorer or Networking and Sharing to "see" the Hard drives, it does not show any of them. Any suggestions are welcome! I have a HP tx1000z CTO Vista Ultimate 32bits 2gb RAM. By the way, Windows Defender too is not responsive and so is Task Manager. In this last case, the utility does show the Close Button! This is what I have done so far to help myself with this problem: a. Configured Firewall to allow Networking and Sharing b. Cleaned the Registry with Registry First Aid. c. Defragmented the Registry and the computer. Cheers, Gene "Dennis " wrote in message ... Has anyone else had this problem? For some unknown reason I can no longer stream my music to my Roku. I go to WMP11 which says that media sharing is disabled. When I try to go to the Network & Sharing page, it takes forever to load, but is frozen and I cannot make any changes (however it says that media sharing IS enabled!! I suspect that something scrambled a registry value. Any help is appreciated. -- Dennis Cockburn -- Gene Pinero |

On my Network and Sharing Center you cannot change anything! It tells me that
I have no network discovery but all of my other settings remain the same. I can connect to the internet but not to my local network. I waited for over an hour to see if I could ever get the Network and Sharing Center to work to no avail. "Eugene Pinero" wrote: I am having exactly Dennis problem!
