Crystalshades,
Well it's now January 2008 and the problem is still occuring in new Dells I just purchased a dimension e521 and had to search the internet to get to your converstations. cal bears solution seems to have worked for me. But don't you think Microsoft could fix their own problems after 6 months Thanks for nothing Bill Vista SUCKS!!! big time. RJ Ward "CrystalShades" wrote: Well it's me again. Hey, where is everybody? Am I all alone? Well whatever. I just wanted to give you an update on my Vista problem. I got the studdering to stop on the audio by updating the Vista on Microsoft website. I look everyday to see if there is something else. Anyways, NOW the problem is that there is a low buzzing under the music that I didn't notice when I wrote the last post saying everything is ok. So everything is NOT okay again, thank you to Vista!! We can live with it thou but not happily. It's like an interference thing. I have to play around and see if I can fix it. I'm talking to myself I just know it. toodles PS: VISTA SUCKS |

You can try on Advanced Tab select another default format.
"Cal Bear '66" wrote: If you don't have a Sigma Tel audio adapter then it probably does not apply. What audio adapter do you have? Anyway you could try. Right click on the Speaker icon in the Notification Area of the Taskbar, select Playback Devices, highlight Speakers or SPDIF (whichever you are using). press the Properties button, on the Enhancement tab, deselect any enhancements. -- I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS! Still Bill's fault Zach.
It's Bill's fault the rpice of oil is so high as well, if he hadn't made computers for the masses we wouldn't need so much electricity, oil would be cheaper ![]() -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.com "zachd [MSFT]" wrote in message ... I had a similar problem. i.e. my audio would stutter every minute or so when either watching mp3s or avi files using media player 11. I also found out that it was happening whilst using other audio programs. i tried all the solutions that i found over the net, reinstalling the audio drivers etc, i am using a sigmatel high definition audio codec, to no avail I had just purchased my Dell XPS 420 and upgraded to vista ultimate and could not work out the problem. I then noticed a post somewhere during my extensive 2 week trawl of google which mentioned the network adapter as a problem. When i disabled my network adapter the problem disappeared completely. I am using a belkin N1 wireless USB adapter connecting to my belkin N1 hub. I have just installed the updated drivers for my usb adapter and all seems to be well with regard to the sound stuttering. hope this helps siratcliffe -- siratcliffe ------------------------------------------------------------------------ siratcliffe's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/siratcliffe.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-music-video/739541.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
