I have had to replace my desktop - I had offline association at that time - I
replaced desktop gave it the same name but changed file locations to a usb
drive - now I have to sets of offline associations - how do I delete the one
that does not exsist any more? It has also increased the amount space
allocated for offline files. If I can delete the old association I should
correct the space allocation as well. So how do I delete old (no lnger any
good) offline associations.

What exactly did you mean by "replace desktop"? Do you have a redirected
desktop?
Also, by "offline associations" do you mean shares you made "Always
available offline"?
Which sku of Vista are you running?

The system that was orginally defined as Desktop" had files shared as D:\WorK
- that system was fried - I have replaced it with a new "Desktop" (a am now
using a My Book USB Drive) J:\Work. - which is now shared.

The issue is my laptop running Vista Ultimate still shows Desktop\D:\Work
(this no longer exsist I need to delete) and the new sharing of
Desktop\J:\Work which is good. But apparenetly I also allocating space for
both shares when only the latter is legitimate.

Hi Burt,
I am still not sure what you mean by "desktop." So to repeat my questions-
1. Is your desktop redirected?
2. Is it made available offline?

If this is the case, you could try deleting the old desktop using the
Offline Files control panel applet. Click on view offline files, go to the
share and delete offline copy.
If that doesn't work, you could just reinitialize your offline files cache
completely. This would mean that you would lose even things cached on your
client from J:\work. However you can just cache those again.
