Hello all,
I noticed that there is no Local Security Policy in Vista Basic Home edition. So then, how do allow other users of my workgroup to access my computer without entering a password? -A |

Either you disable Password Protected Sharing, and everybody can access everything (as XP Home), or you enable Password Protected Sharing, and everybody has to enter a password. Maybe that's why it's called "Password Protected Sharing"? With XP Home, we used NTRights for some LSP editor substitution. http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/07/use-ntrights-to-grant-specific.html http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...-specific.html Can you find the "No blank passwords" rule using NTRights? -- Cheers, Chuck, MS-MVP [Windows - Networking] http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/ Paranoia is not a problem, when it's a normal response from experience.
