I have a new computer with Vista Home and an existing Windows 2000 & XP
systems. From the Vista systems I can ping and browse both the 2000 & XP system. From the 2000 and XP systems pings time out and I am not able to connect to the shared Vista printer. I am on an old DI-704 Dlink, one that's not even supported anymore but it has always been reliable. All three systems are DHCP clients and function correctly except for the connectivety issue. From the 2000 & XP system I can see the Vista system under Home workgroup. It seems like the Vista system is rejecting any packets unless it initiated the communications. |
