I have been having problems ever since I upgraded to Vista on my notebook
with .mdb files not syncing properly. I keep all of my files on my desktop machine, and use offline files to keep a copy on my notebook when I'm travelling. When I returned from my trip, in which I'd done some work with the .mdb file in question, I hooked back up to the network with my notebook, and went to work. I opened my .mdb file on my notebook and it appeared fine, all the data was current. I left Access open and went to do something else, and Access through an error, which of course I can't remember. Thinking it might just be a bug in Access 2007, I closed and reopened the database, to find that I was now looking at the version from before I left. Somehow the old version on my desktop machine was never updated when I returned, and worse yet overwrote the current version on my notebook. I know there are some issues with using .mdb files with synchronization, but this always worked fine in XP. Anyone else have this problem, or even better a solution? Eric |
