Default Issues with Vista 64 and going from 2gig to 4gig. HELP

I put 4 gig of ram in my system, now when I start up, I get unexpected
stop errors. Tells me to put in the dvd and run repair tool . I did
that, and it couldn't find/fix the issue. I am now running a Windows
Memory Diagnostics Tool.

Anyone ever have this issue? Thought Vista 64 and 4 gig were going to
work as friends.

Have 2 sticks of Corsair XMS2 5-5-5-12
Have 2 sticks of Corsair XMS2 4-4-4-12
Asus P5n32 sli se deluxe mb.

Looks to me like mismatched or faulty memory, or that the memory is
incorrect for your system.

OP,
What is the difference between the 555 and the 444 memory? If it is speed
Vista does not like memory that is not all at the speed.
Are the matched pairs in the proper slots according to your MOBO users's
manual?
There mayt be some information in the following link that helps you.

Take the original memory out and put the new stuff in. If it boots OK,
download and run memtest overnight. If it passes memtest, put the original
memory back in alongside. Go straight into the BIOS and set the memory speed
to the lowest of the two sets that you have, and set the timings manually to
5-5-5-12...
