Sync Center between Pictures folder and USB Hard Disk

I can sync my pictures with a USB thumb drive, but my physical 2.5" external
USB drive does not show up as a possible sync partner.

How do I convince Vista to snyc all my photos between my desktop and my
portable hard disk whenever I connect?
