Did you create a FAT32 partition on the second drive? With both XP and Vista the largest FAT32 partition you can create is 32 GB. Open the Disk Management console (diskmgmt.msc) and see what partitions are on the drive. If you want one large partition then delete the current partition and create one NTFS partition that uses the whole drive. -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca |

The second drive is either mismarked as to model number, there is
unallocated space (most likely, and due to YOU creating a fat32 partition which will be only 32 gig - by default) or the drive is defective. Convert the partition on the 2nd drive to an NTFS partition and then expand it to encompass the entire drive. -- Regards, Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User (For email, remove the obvious from my address) Quote from George Ankner: If you knew as much as you think you know, You would realize that you don't know what you thought you knew! hi no. did not do any partition. just a straightfull format (ntfs) yet if i
change to primary master it is full size. could this be because it is primary master as dvd-rom is secondary master.
