Bluetooth on Vista (upgraded from XP)
Hi,
I recently upgraded my computer from XP to Vista Ultimate. My bluetooth (which came installed in my HP DV5000 series laptop) was working properly the first few days after I upgraded.. But now, my Bluetooth icon in my taskbar tray is showing a red color rather than blue (or white, whichever it is supposed to show). I have tried upgrading the driver and it tells me that its up to date, i have tried reinstalling my phone onto my computer so that it will connect again, but it won't. It tries to connect, yet on my phone it says "service not supported". Lastly, when I go into the Bluetooth Configuration and click on Hardware, it tells me that nothing is installed. My bluetooth device is installed into my computer.. so i don't know what to do. Does anyone know how to fix this problem????? Please help!!!! |

Bluetooth on Vista (upgraded from XP)
On my Dell, the Bluetooth module can be turned on, but if the radio for the
Bluetooth is off it will remain red in the taskbar. Try right-clicking the icon and see if there is an option for enable or turn on radio. -- An Engineer asks "How does it work" A Scientists asks "Why does it work?"
