Hi! I've got a new Vista Home Basic laptop that won't run a program off of the XPPro file server at the wife's office. This system connects wirelessly, where all the other systems connect wired. Strange thing is that the exact same procedure worked earlier with another Vista Home Basic laptop (it died on us, hence the new laptop). The old one was a Compaq, then new one is an Acer. The error that I get is an "Invalid directory/path" and a recommendation to edit the win.ini file. I did the following: 1) Copied the section of the old win.ini to the new win.ini 2) Mapped the network drive to F: on the new laptop 3) Copied the shortcut to the program onto the new laptop. Any ideas or suggestions on how to proceed? -- usasma ------------------------------------------------------------------------ usasma's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=25899 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=751901 http://forums.techarena.in |
