Default Using Network Drives with Vista

My Vista Laptop is connected to a Workgroup Network.
On the file-server I have a folder h:\user\rf
This folder is assigned the drive letter r
If I go to this folder I can read/write/delete - no problem
If I go to the drive letter - I can only read.
What do I need to do that I can write and delete if I only use r:
TIA

Are you the administrator of the server? You need the administrator to do that.
