Default DSL loses connection

I work for a DSL ISP. We do not "officially" support Vista yet, so our
policy when someone calls in with Vista is to tell them there is nothing we
can do, but I like to help them if I can. I have had a few customers call in
with the issue that when they are online with our DSL and Vista it prompts
them to enter their username and poassword about every 10 minutes. I talked
to one of the lead techs here who has worked with Vista before and he said
that it is a glitch with Vista's Dial Up controls, and that there is nothing
that can be done about it, but that just doesn't seem right to me. I don't
have a Vista box at home so I can't really do any investigation on my own,
anyone have any suggestions for what I might unofficially suggest to these
nice people that call in?

As we know some routers' DHCP may no be compatible with Vista. The resolutions can be found here.
