A friend has WinVista Home Premium. She is connected to the internet via
dial up using AOL. She said that sometimes when she is on the telephone she can hear AOL trying to dial and connect. How can she stop that from happening? |

a) Get rid of AOL, or
b) turn the computer off before using the phone, or c) unplug he computer modem from the phone line, or d) put the computer in sleep or standby. Gary VanderMolen "Rich Barry" wrote in message ... This can be part of the AUTOAOL feature. AOL will/can connect at
predetermined intervals to upload/download email, pictures and other items. Check AOL's site on how to change the settings of AUTOAOL. Hope this helps. "Rich Barry" wrote in message ...
