Hi Paul,
Click the start orb, type "msconfig" and hit enter. Go to the startup tab and look for the line that loads the Kodak registration reminder. Uncheck it and click apply/ok. Reboot at leisure. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Paul" wrote in message ... Rick,
Unfortunately I don't see anything related to Kodak in my startup tab. Any other ideas? Paul "Rick Rogers" wrote: Hi Paul, Click the start orb, type "msconfig" and hit enter. there is a program from MS called
auto runs I believe, download it and use it to kill the process. did you properly uninstall the kodak program and delete the folder it was installed in. you also might ask kodak how to stop it, if all else fails. Hi Paul,
There is a utility called StartupList on this link that may help you identify where it is loading from: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Paul" wrote in message ... The missing dll is being called by a scheduled task within vista
scheduled tasks located under Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools From here view the bottom active tasks pane and you will find something to the effect of easyshare updater. This is the task that is causing your error. Double click this task and then in the following screen, right click the task and select delete. This will remove the task and the annoying missing module box on startup. Hope this helps Jeff |

Don't know if you ever got this issue resolved, but what I did was I went into C:\Windows\Tasks and I stopped and deleted the Kodak EasyShare Registration task. Mine was in Windows XP, but yours should be the same in Vista. -- Hounddoggy |
