Default printer access denied

hello

i followed all the instructions for file and printer sharing. i can now
open files between my new vista and XP machines, in either direction. the
pinters are on the XP machine. I understand how to see the printers on that
XP machine, but when i try to "add printer" to the vista machine i always get
"access denied". a second XP machine can utilize the printer across the
network - so no porblem there. i've run out of the basic instructions to
try. any ideas?

thanks, aj

Since the other XP box can use the printer, you've apparently shared it
correctly. Instead of adding the printer from Vista's Control Panel,
download the latest drivers/installation setup for the printer from the
printer mftr.'s website. Run the printer installation on Vista.
