I have a home WLAN network running on Windows XP, with one PC connected to an
ADSL WiFi router (dynamic IP assignation) via cable and 2 to three more laptops connected to Internet and among them via WiFi. The network allows file and printer sharing. I have just bought a Windows Vista laptop, which I have been able to connect to my WiFi network (private netowork). All the PCs are seen on the Network, but the XPs do not have access to the Vista public folders, and the Vista does not have access to the XP folders or printers. I have been able to run the KB922120 hotfix in two of the XP computers. In another two ones it does not install because of different OS language (?? XPSP2 Spanish in all of them). It does not solve the problem. When I run the network diagnostics in Vista the network appears to be OK. Norton antivierus is running on the Vista laptop, but Microsoft keeps control of the firewall. Please help. |
