I was running everything fine in xp/mac/shared drive via xp with mac
accessing share wirelessly configuration. I recently upgraded to vista and had to reinstall my entire library, re-export, change paths to new vista network location and re-import library on the mac. Herein lies the problem. After reimporting my library I started seeing connection was lost (server connection interrupted) to my shared drive mount.. I ended up hard rebooting bc itunes was frozen (thrice) That said, I can't play any song without either losing the connection, the song stuttering or itunes freezing - trying to acces the files. I read about handshakes and encryption that vista changes to nlrm2 or something, but im running home premium so I had to regedit the local security policies and change that manually from 3 to 1, but I believe that was for vista to connect to Mac without username/pwd challenges. Itunes library connected to the share still it freezes up. Any ideas if this is a mac osx/vista compatibility issue? Or is it itunes running off vista share? Suggestions? Comments? diatribes? I dont want to revert to xp bc i dig vista and media center edition. Please let me know. |
