I have a new laptop with Vista, when i connect our Hp Laser jet 1150 printer
directly to my laptop the printer is installed and works properly. However when i hook up to our wireless network and try to print, all i get is "cannot connect to printer, monitor unknown" - something like that. So my question is, even after I have installed the driver software and it doesn't work what do i do? Do i need to make sure the XP operating system that the printer is hooked up to can let me print (compatibility issues). The IT "kid" here wants to reformat the laptop with XP Pro, but i'd rather solve this issue and get vista to work rather than the boch patch job he is seeking. |
