Default dhcp

Is there dhcp server in Vista? When I'm connecting my laptop (WinXP) to
desktop computer (Vista, static IPs)using WLAN I have to specify static IP
on laptop. I'm using it in many diffrent networks and I would like it to
obtain IP on its own.

Default dhcp

Hi Rafal,
Vista doesn't have DHCP server in that. Only Windows Server editions has
DHCPServer software.
If you need to have static IP address only when you are at home, then the
best solution is use "Alternate Configuration". When there is no DHCPServer
on the network then the Alternate IP address configuration will be applied.

Thanks
