Laptop with vista business, desktop wih xp pro. Laptop has wireless A/G card,
desktop has wireless g card. Niether system will see the other. Installed MS KB fix for xp that allows xp to show up in vista network map. Last night I could see the laptop from the desktop but could not connect to it. I could not connect to or see the desktop from the latop. Each system could ping the other and both systems connect to the internet and email with no problem. Also, both systems are running Norton 2007 firewall and anti virus. Totally disabled Norton, still could not connect to either system from the other. Started again this morning and after changing nothing now I get the following error on the xp system when I try to browse to the vista system " workgroup is not accessable...". |
