What webcam? Have your installed Vista drivers? Also, generally USB devices,
especially webcams, require that the cam be unplugged before the driver is
installed and asks you to plug in the camera.

Maybe your webcam is not compatible with Vista.
A webcam is the only piece of hardware I had to upgrade to run Vista.
My old Intel PC Camera CS431 would not work, so I bought a Logitech Pro
5000.

Are you using the installation CD or the Vista drivers available from this
Logitech support site?

Download the software from the Logitech site that Mike provided.
Install the software BEFORE you plug the camera in.

I just got an XPS laptop with built in web cam. I know it works, but I don't
know how to use it. I can't find instructions in my manual. Any guidance
would be greatly appreciated.
