Default DVD/CD ROM disk detect

I recently installed vista and Virtual cd 6 on my computer, but now my cd
drive does not detect when a disk is inserted or ejected, after a while it
seems to allow me to view the files but it usualy askes me about burning a cd
when i try to view the files, also note that if the drive has recongnised a
disk like a music cd, when viewing a different disk it will try to open other
inserted disks as music cds. etc.. I've tried uninstalling the drive as well
but no effect.. any ideas?

Agwan,

In Control Panel, look around in the area having to do with Sound. You'll
find a lot of options there for getting the response you want when you insert
a CD/DVD.

In addition, you can review the instructions under Start Windows Help and
Support. Launch that app and search on terms like Auto Play or Sound
Options, or anything else that makes sense. There is considerable
information there on how to get the behavior you desire. It can be a little
tricky in setting up these options.
