I don't know if you will see this but the problem is with the "web forum" software. It is seriously broken. I also seems to have gotten much worse over the last few days. This is not actually a web forum but a newsgroup. If you are using Windows Vista go to to Windows mail and access the Microsoft Communities to get to these newsgroups.

Try using Windows Mail to access these newsgroups, instead of the funky web
interface that you're using.

I'm sorry, but I can't help you with the web interface; I (and most
other regular posters) don't use it because it is so dreadful. You will
be better off using a real newsreader, which is very easy to set up. See
general Usenet information below which will help you:

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express (XP) or Windows Mail (Vista) since you
already have it. Here are some links to information about newsgroups:

Thank you all for the information, however like most non-techies, I am
ignorant of what a "Newreader" is or most of the technical aspects of other
suggestions. I shall try to educate myself from your links, however. I was
once successful at getting really good help from a true forum, rather than
the totally irrelevant garbage and suggestions that the "official" help
directs you to, but I could not locate relocate the forum. Just once I would
like to find a system "help" site that took a direct approach to a simple
question without a thousand menu steps and showering you with wonderful
confusing crap you don't care about. I totally agreed with the "60 Minutes"
piece on "Geeks" that the companies sell the hardware and software realtively
cheaply so they have little budget for support.
