I have recently created a LAN. I have heard that you can send messages over
LAN, but I cannot find out how anywhere. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. Thanks in advance. |

you used to be able to open a cmd window and issue a
net send \\computer "message" but it doesn't seem to be available anymore. "Chris" wrote in message ... I have recently created a LAN. I have heard that you can send messages over LAN, but I cannot find out how anywhere. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. Thanks in advance. |

Hello Dave, the Net Send command is no longer supported in Windows Vista
like it used to be in Windows 2000 or XP. You might want to consider either LanTalk XP or you can try NetSend which you can obtain here. http://www.cezeo.com/products/netsend/ -- Eric Cross Microsoft MVP (Windows Networking) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com "Dave" wrote in message ...
