I have an external hard drive that I store all my media on, which is
connected to my laptop. The problem is I tend to turn it off at night, so when I start everything up the following day (or if I unplug the drive for any reason) all my share settings have evaporated. I am running Vista Business, although I had the same problem with my XP Pro installation. Thanks! |

When you disconnect the drive, Windows forgets the share (which is logical). -- David Dickinson eveningstar at die-spammer-die dash mvps dot org Please reply only to the newsgroup, not by email. |
