Can't share files ... Maybe someone has found a solution.

I have tried everything suggested and everything on the M$ web site ... this
is such a pita. There are so many issues with my computer because of Vista
that I want to toss it out my window sometimes.

Just chiming in to say that I feel your pain! I had an XP and ME system
networked, and I had perfect sharing of everything. When I swapped my ME
system with a new Vista computer, most of my file sharing went down hill. I
can share files from the Vista "Public" folder and maybe one other, but none
other, even after allowing sharing and checking all the applicable boxes for
the other folders! Incredible.

But what's equally sad is actually ASKING a Microsoft pro how to fix this!
None give consistent answers, plus you have to take a Valium afterwards
after reading about the "fix!"
