How did you attempt to access the C: on Vista from a XP box? "unknown" wrote: |

I attempted to connect to the C: drive on my Vista machine by clicking
on it's listing in the MSHOME listing of Explorer. I can access Public files on the Vista machine but not gain access to the C: drive and select any folder from there. you will need to set C: on Vista as a shared folder before anyone can access
it. however, it is generally not advisable to share the root directories.
