Just to be sure, I would like someone to verify that if I have a
Vista-compatible printer connected to a USB port of an XP machine then I can print to it from a Vista machine connected to the same domain if that printer is shared on the XP machine and the drivers are installed on the Vista machine. Is this definitely correct? -- And loving it, -Q _________________________________________________ (Replace the "SixFour" with numbers to email me) |

Is this definitely correct? It depends on the printer driver. Not all USB printers will work over a network. Some expect direct two way communications. You would have to contact the printer manufacturer to see if yours will work when networked. -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca |
