Default Home network Vista-XPHE

After a lot of jobs, I've succeeded to connect, by a router, my two
notebooks, one running XPHE and the other running Vista. From the
notebook running XPHE I'm able to connect to the notebook running
Vista, but, even if I tried practically everything, I'm not yet able
to connect from Vista.
I continously receive a message saying that I don't have the
authorizations to do it.
Can someone help me?
Thanks a lot!
Giovanni

On vista what is your network adapter set to, private or public? To check:
1.Click Start
2.Open the Control Panel
3. Open the Network and Sharing Center or View Network Status and Tasks
(depending if you are in classic view or not)
4. Your network adapter is listed on this page as either public or private.
Public will lock the computer down. You should switch to private by clicking
customize next to it and changing to private. Then on the page you should
make sure File Sharing, and Public Folder Sharing. You can use Password
Protected sharing to make it more secure.
